Social Media Coordinator

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Execute, evolve and refresh social strategies across our brand family, with a focus on authentic storytelling, timely content, and organic growth.
• Create, adapt, and publish content that features student achievements, interviews, math competition wins, class snapshots, learning milestones, and behind-the-scenes team and creator stories.
• Spot and incorporate trending formats (memes, reels, video snippets) and topical moments into engaging, brand-aligned content.
• Launch experimentation with new copy, tone, theme, format etc.
• Handle community interaction—respond to DMs, comments, and parent/student engagement across channels.
• Support occasional live or video-based promotions, takeovers, and Q&As.
• Stay nimble: handle last-minute content needs and fast turnarounds with a positive, can-do attitude.
• (Bonus) Use analytics tools to track performance and inform future content ideas.

Requirements

• 2+ years of social media experience (freelance/agency/in-house); education or mission-driven brand experience is a plus.
• A strong grasp of social trends, platform features, and content that performs well—especially Meta, LinkedIn, Reels, TikTok, YouTube and Instagram Stories.
• Excellent writing skills for short-form, engaging copy tailored to different audiences (parents, students, educators).
• Confident using tools like SproutSocial, Canva, Meta Business Suite, Figma and basic video/image editing apps.
• Highly proactive, reliable, and adaptable—you take initiative, embrace feedback, and work well under pressure.
• Interest in math, education is a plus, but not required.

• Experience with future platforms like Bluesky, X, Threads.
