About the Role

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for designing, creating, scheduling, and publishing engaging content across all social media platforms, monitoring online conversations, and supporting marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and engagement. This position involves working closely with all business units, departments, and senior leadership, requiring strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach. The role includes managing social media sites, developing campaigns, community engagement, and analyzing performance metrics to optimize social media presence for Mesa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, create, schedule, and publish engaging content across all social media platforms.
  • Monitor comments, messages, and mentions; respond promptly and professionally.
  • Develop social campaigns specific to market and capability.
  • Build relationships with followers, influencers, and online communities.
  • Manage the social media content calendar and ensure consistent posting.
  • Research and stay current on industry trends, platform updates, and competitor activity.
  • Measure web traffic and track metrics to improve engagement.
  • Prepare regular reports and suggest improvements based on data.
  • Collaborate with marketing team members to ensure brand consistency.
  • Develop direct relationships with Business Units and Departments.
  • Work with IT in areas of cybersecurity and confidential information.
  • Maintain quality content and presentation on all Mesa websites and social media accounts.
  • Ensure all posts meet Mesa's policies and standards of professionalism.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Experience in social media content management and community engagement.
  • Ability to develop creative social media campaigns.
  • Knowledge of social media trends, platform changes, and best practices.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports to improve engagement.
  • Experience working with IT in cybersecurity and proprietary/confidential information is a plus.

  • Previous experience collaborating with senior leadership.
