Social Media Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute our social media presence in the US with strategy that strengthens and aligns our global brand goals with dairy audience(s) across key platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok.
• Create compelling, platform-optimized content, including visual, video and written formats to drive engagement and brand awareness.
• Build and manage online communities by fostering meaningful conversations and cultivating long-term relationships with followers and influencers.
• Maintain a consistent brand voice and storytelling approach across all channels, reflecting smaXtec values and positioning.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product management, customer support, sales and other internal teams for integrated content and initiatives.
• Coordinate social photo and video content and regularly visit with our customers on-farm to capture authentic, real-world stories.
• Monitor performance and optimize strategies using data-driven insights, staying informed on platform trends, tools and evolving best practices.
• Represent the brand in real-time via community interactions, social listening, and participation in relevant industry or cultural conversations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field of study (equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education).
• Minimum of 3 years of social media experience within the dairy sector or related agriculture industry.
• Proficient with social tools for scheduling, analytics and visual content (i.e. Meta, Canva, Adobe Suite).
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and manage time.
• High self-motivation, energy and perseverance to achieve individual and company goals.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time within the U.S., and internationally as needed.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record are required.

Nice to Have

• Experience with social listening tools.
• Knowledge of farming and livestock health management.
• Experience with TikTok and influencer collaborations.

Qualifications
