We are looking for an engaging individual to join our growing Social Media team. This position requires social media management experience, content creation experience and a passion for strategic thinking and execution across multiple social media platforms. As a Social Media Specialist, you will play a critical role within the Optum content marketing team, developing ideas, producing engaging content, and ensuring brand consistency across platforms. You will have the opportunity to grow our digital media presence, engage with customers, and help manage our brand online. The role offers flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
- Execution of regional social media for organic and paid content, including strategy, research, development, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
- Serve as the point of contact and communicate regularly with local marketing teams to identify needs, discuss performance, and ensure brand alignment.
- Liaise with creatives such as writers and designers to ensure social media content is informative, appealing, and on-brand.
- Prepare performance reports and present findings to regional marketing partners.
Requirements
- 2+ years of content and social media experience (paid and organic), preferably in health care.
- 2+ years of experience with social media platforms, their functionality, and digital community evolution.
- 2+ years of experience writing digital copy and marketing materials, preferably in a B2C setting.
- 2+ years of experience analyzing and synthesizing large data sets into concise, actionable insights.
- Experience creating and managing paid and organic social media campaigns on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Savvy with social analytics and able to interpret metrics into learnings.
- Experience with social management platforms like Sprinklr, Hootsuite, or Sprout Social.
- Experience with monitoring social accounts and community management.
- Experience managing high dollar budgets.
- Proficiency working in web-based software systems, CMS, email tools, and basic desktop publishing applications.
Nice to Have
- 2+ years of experience in Adobe suite products and basic graphic design principles.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Healthcare marketing or communication experience.
- Community management experience.
- Proven organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Collaborative problem-solving skills.
