Job Description

About the Role

As our Social Media Specialist at Drake Cooper, you will take charge of buying media on well-known social media platforms and implementing client-approved media strategies across these channels. You work alongside other agency disciplines to ideate and execute a successful integrated marketing campaign. The role involves managing paid social media campaigns, collaborating with creative and media teams, and educating clients and internal teams on social media best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Buy and manage paid social media campaigns across platforms like Facebook, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), and more, including audience targeting, placements, bidding, and campaign configuration.
  • Handle day-to-day campaign management, including pacing, performance optimization, targeting adjustments, and ongoing testing.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of buying strategies and optimizations.
  • Stay on top of industry trends across the social landscape and bring innovative ideas to the team.
  • Collaborate with creative and production teams to ensure assets are tailored to each media channel's best practices.
  • Partner with media planners and analysts to provide platform-driven suggestions and insights.
  • Educate the agency and clients on social media capabilities and best practices.
  • Work with AdOps and analysts to define conversions and campaign objectives, provide reporting, and communicate budget discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Certification in and/or working knowledge of relevant media buying platforms, primarily Meta Ads Manager.
  • 2+ years of media buying experience on the publisher, client, or agency side.
  • Intermediate skills in Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team player mindset.
  • A proactive, test-and-learn approach with a desire to take initiative and collaborate.
  • Knowledge of media delivery and audience engagement in campaigns.
  • Desire to seek out diverse and creative solutions to meet media goals.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with additional social media platforms beyond those listed.
  • Advanced certifications in media buying or digital marketing.
  • Experience working in an agency environment.

Qualifications

  • Certifications in media buying platforms, primarily Meta Ads Manager.
  • At least 2 years of media buying experience.
