About the Role

This position sits within our Product Development division, which develops, tests, and improves our software solutions in an innovative and collaborative environment. A Software Development Engineer (Test) I at ConstructConnect is responsible for ensuring software quality through developing test strategies, creating and updating test automation code, executing tests (both automated and manual), and analyzing defects. The role combines software development and testing practices, focusing on collaboration and writing code that automatically verifies application changes. SDET I's work closely with product teams to deliver high-quality, high-value product features, understanding customer usage and technical implementation, and maintaining automated solutions using Python / Pytest to support development, testing, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain product and application expertise through product documentation, internal collaboration, and customer feedback.
Develop test strategies, plans, scenarios, and acceptance tests.
Design, build, and execute test cases, including manual and automated frontend/backend tests on Desktop and Web platforms.
Create and maintain automated tests in Python / Pytest.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and report test results.
Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
Actively participate in design and code reviews to develop stable, testable, high-quality services and functionality.
Operate within an Agile framework, contributing to scrum ceremonies and iterative development.
Learn and apply AI technologies to assist in GTM Systems tasks.
Pursue continuous learning and professional development to stay current with industry standards and new technologies.

Requirements

BS degree in Computer Sciences, programming, or a related discipline, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
1 to 3 years of software testing or development experience, with at least 1 year of hands-on coding experience in object-oriented programming languages such as Python, C#, or Java (Python preferred).
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming Principles, Data Structures, and Algorithms.
Familiarity with Salesforce.
Ability to keep current with the constantly changing technology industry.
A passion for design, development, and testing.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations and identify problems.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with AI tools and frameworks.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications
