Software Quality Engineer Advisor

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and document test plans for both UI-driven applications and backend services, utilizing a combination of manual and automated testing to validate that solutions meet design and performance requirements.
• Design and develop automated test scripts using modern frameworks and tools. Migrate existing manual test cases into automated pipelines, focusing on reusability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Present testing progress, metrics, and results to development and leadership teams. Provide clear documentation for test coverage, defect identification, and resolution workflows.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the productivity, accuracy, and speed of testing efforts through innovative tools, automation, and process optimization.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot automated test environments within a CI/CD pipeline, ensuring reliable execution and environment stability.
• Partner with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and analysts to define data needs, testing scope, and end-to-end strategies. Coordinate and execute functional, integration, system, neighbor, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify and clearly communicate software defects with detailed reproduction steps. Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues and verify fixes.
• Stay up to date with the latest QA tools, testing trends, automation strategies, and best practices, and proactively integrate them into existing processes.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, contributing to cross-functional team initiatives or organizational improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent.
• Five (5) equivalent work experience in computer support or information technology environment.
• General knowledge of hardware, software, and network.

Nice to Have

• Experience with modern testing frameworks and automation tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and environment management.
• Familiarity with testing trends, automation strategies, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Educational background in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of work experience in a relevant IT or support environment.
