Job Description

About the Role

The Software Test Engineer will participate in the development, maintenance, and installation of software for real-time plant process monitoring and digital safety systems for nuclear power plants. This role is based onsite in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and involves working as a key member of the team to ensure software quality and functionality in a critical industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, test, troubleshoot and refine system and software requirements with internal and external customers.
  • Provide QA support throughout the SDLC, including the planning, requirements gathering, development, integration testing, and acceptance testing stages.
  • Create and/or review formal test plans for systems and software.
  • Create and/or review formal test procedures and automated scripts for systems and software.
  • Execute test procedures to verify that new or modified software programs function according to requirements in both internal and external customer-facing capacities.
  • Work well independently and as part of a team to achieve team and organizational goals.
  • Demonstrate a strong customer focus by listening to, recognizing, and responding to customer input in an effective, timely and courteous manner.
  • Take initiative as problems and opportunities arise by anticipating and meeting customer needs and company expectations.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Person due to the nature of work performed at this site.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related degree.
  • Minimum of 1 year (5+ years preferred) of experience developing and executing software test procedures and working through the full product life cycle from concept to installation.
  • 1+ years of software test lead experience is desirable.
  • Technical documentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps.

  • Experience with Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related degree.
