Job Description

About the Role

This is a hybrid role based out of Columbia Sportswear Company's headquarters in Portland, OR, requiring in-office presence 3 days a week. The position involves supporting the marketing vision and strategy for SOREL's Men's, Collaborations, and Energy categories. The role focuses on driving cultural relevance and excitement with the brand's lifestyle consumers through collaboration, energy, and brand initiatives, working closely with product, brand, legal, and PR teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Marketing on all Energy and Men's Marketing initiatives, including seeding, activations, communication, and contract management.
  • Contribute to identifying and evaluating potential cultural opportunities with brand partners and moments that align with brand values and audience.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and internal/external communications for campaigns from concept to launch.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with PR, social, legal, site & product teams to bring projects to life.
  • Develop compelling campaign recaps, presentations, and state of the market reports as needed.
  • Build strong relationships with external brand and creative partners, becoming a key conduit between SOREL and its creative network.
  • Manage energy lifestyle seeding strategy across collaborations and inline energy.
  • Support the management of social media accounts, partnering with content owners to ensure feeds reflect broadcast calendar and brand strategy.
  • Liaise between the Brand Team and external ambassadors to ensure content is collected and distributed in line with calendars and strategy, including partnerships like Ocean Conservancy.
  • Partner with Media and Digital Marketing Managers to ensure influencer content alignment and seek new partners for Men's and Energy marketing.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of industry experience, preferably in the fashion/energy space, with a solid understanding of cultural trends and ability to translate them into relevant brand opportunities.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with the ability to prioritize accordingly.
  • Experience working with external creative partners and managing international marketing teams.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple touchpoints per project.
  • Bachelor's degree or above in communications, marketing, journalism, or related fields.
  • Experience on the brand side and/or with an agency.
  • PR and media experience with campaign planning and budget management.
  • Flexibility and a creative approach to problem-solving, with the ability to pivot in real-time.
  • Understanding of the full funnel of consumer marketing, including Owned, Earned, Paid strategy and execution.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong network within the streetwear/fashion industry.
  • Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day operations effectively.

Qualifications
