About the Role

The Sr. B2B Product Marketing Manager at Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA), is a senior-level role focused on owning the audience-to-product connection for a SaaS client. This position is highly tactical, involving translating customer needs into product requirements and managing day-to-day alignment with cross-functional teams, particularly Product. The role is a contract, hybrid in San Jose, CA, or open to NYC, covering a 7-month maternity leave. The person will work behind the scenes to ensure enterprise and corporate products reflect real-world use cases, workflows, and adoption needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Connect Audience Insights to Product Development by gathering and synthesizing feedback from Sales, Support, and field teams, documenting customer pain points, jobs-to-be-done, and emerging use cases, creating actionable product requirement briefs, tracking audience needs, and communicating trends.
  • Maintain Product Readiness by Segment through monitoring the product roadmap, participating in product planning and design reviews, ensuring features address real workflows and expectations, and maintaining a readiness tracker tied to priority initiatives.
  • Lead Validation & Feedback Loops by coordinating validation efforts with internal SMEs and customers, identifying misalignments between feature capabilities and audience needs, sharing early feedback for product refinement, and documenting validation outcomes.
  • Support Cross-Functional Alignment by sharing audience insights in roadmap and planning meetings, partnering with Enablement, Messaging, and Pricing teams to represent customer voice, flagging strategic product shifts, and coordinating with PMM Ops to keep deliverables and timelines on track.

Requirements

  • Experience in B2B product marketing with a focus on translating customer needs into product requirements.
  • Ability to synthesize feedback from sales, support, and field teams and document customer pain points and use cases.
  • Experience in coordinating validation efforts with internal SMEs and customers.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, especially with Product, Enablement, Messaging, and Pricing teams.
  • Ability to monitor product roadmaps and participate in product planning and design reviews.
  • Excellent communication skills to share insights and trends with internal teams.

  • Experience working in SaaS environments.
