About the Role

The Sr. Director Global Marketing, GI Cancers role is based in the US (Collegeville, PA) or UK (London, UK) and involves translating scientific insights into commercial success across the product lifecycle. The role requires leading global product strategies, launching new indications such as Rectal Cancer, and building long-term brand value through partnership with cross-functional teams. It offers an opportunity to impact standard of care practices and improve patient outcomes within GSK's Pharmaceuticals business, emphasizing innovation, strategic leadership, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish themselves as the GI commercial lead and expert, supporting the Marketing Commercialization Team and Medical Development Team, and being part of the Global brand commercial leadership team.
  • Lead global launch and launch readiness for Rectal Cancer in collaboration with the US LOC.
  • Support governance deliverables and workstreams aligned to key organizational decisions.
  • Lead lifecycle management strategy in GI cancers to drive additional value, identify unmet needs, and optimize market approaches.
  • Understand, value, and prioritize sources of differentiation by leveraging cross-functional insights and emerging data.
  • Develop GI brand strategy and deliver launch/brand plans in accordance with the Integrated Asset Plan (IAP) across customer segments including Patient, HCP, and Payer.
  • Partner with Insights to deliver global forecasts aligned with strategy, generating assumptions and strategic input.
  • Ensure market access strategy supports decision-making throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead and build team followship to execute brand strategy and maximize commercial success.
  • Identify future strategic opportunities for long-term asset value expansion through assessment of unmet needs and commercial valuation.
  • Elucidate required SG&A and commercial models to optimize brand performance globally.
  • Drive a culture of trust, respect, transparency, and accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in science or business.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in roles such as early commercial, marketing, business development, insights and analytics, forecasting, pricing, market access, or portfolio analytics.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in oncology across solid tumors and hematological cancers.
  • Proven effective leadership of cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills across organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong prioritization and decision-making skills.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources.
  • Ability to navigate complex business challenges and identify opportunities while mitigating risks.
  • High level of personal accountability and independence in achieving objectives.

Nice to Have

  • Ph.D. or MBA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in science or business.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
  • 5 years of oncology experience.
