About the Role

The Senior Director of HCP Marketing (Neuropsychiatry) will be a critical role and visible leader within the US Neuropsychiatry Franchise, leading, planning and executing sophisticated HCP activation and educational strategies for a product in the midst of launch. Reporting to the VP/Head Neuropsychiatry Marketing, the Senior Director will lead the HCP marketing team and matrix in developing and executing overall U.S. branded and unbranded strategies to educate, activate, and support customers treating Postpartum Depression (PPD). Biogen, with their commercialization partner, launched this treatment last year and is currently in a brand growth phase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as U.S. HCP-lead to develop clear HCP strategy, design creative campaigns, develop messaging and coordinate a customer experience that meets HCP practices/systems where they are, while overcoming barriers to treatment.
  • Lead a team of marketers charged to educate and activate key HCP audiences for the first indicated oral therapy for postpartum depression (PPD).
  • Focus on leading a team for both branded and disease education initiatives, collaborating cross-functionally and across channels.
  • Sit on the franchise leadership team to lead design and implementation of the 3-year brand roadmap, with focus on improved education, activation, and market maturation.
  • Define and articulate clear market development and customer experience strategies to drive solutions that crosscut audiences.
  • Deliver a commercialization plan that proactively grows product adoption and shapes the market, including education, scientific exchange, relationship building, evidence generation, and broader engagement with the HCP ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with alliance partner to support the vision and strategy for a 3-year launch growth plan.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessment of competition and identify opportunities to guide/refine strategy amidst rapidly changing market dynamics.
  • Manage overall HCP media planning and content strategies, including management of budgets exceeding $15MM.

Requirements

  • BS/BA required; MBA preferred.
  • 12+ years of commercial experience, with 8+ years in marketing or marketing-adjacent roles within the pharma or biotech industry, including launch experience.
  • Experience in complex or under-developed therapeutic areas; Women's Health, Neuroscience, Psychiatry, or Immunology experience is a plus.
  • Experience designing and driving omnichannel media campaigns, building media plans, analyzing data and insights, and defining a 3-year customer engagement strategy.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence without authority.
  • Proven track record in project and vendor management, including resource allocation and fiscal management.
  • Experience leading and developing both direct and matrixed teams to produce high-impact results.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with a collaboration partner and cross-functional leadership to prioritize strategies in a complex market.
  • Field/customer-facing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Over 12 years of commercial experience, including at least 8 years in pharma or biotech marketing.
  • Experience in launch environments and complex therapeutic areas.

  • Base salary range of $230,000.00-$316,000.00, determined through an analytical approach considering skills, experience, location, and internal equity.
