Sr Project Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver overall logistics service to the client
• Analyze KPIs to ensure efficiency and procedures are maintained
• Liaise with client on a scheduled basis to review service provision and develop business opportunities
• Responsible for contract negotiations
• Account retention and development
• Ensure safe project execution to the client's satisfaction, consistent with cost, schedule, and contractual requirements
• Manage and coordinate activities of project personnel by direct supervision
• Supervise operations and logistics teams across all locations
• Perform global high-level logistics planning
• Support and supervise key shipments if required
• Support team members during peak periods in different operational areas
• Ensure project compliance with Customs and other shipping regulations
• Review and audit evaluations of Service Providers
• Drive and manage search for improved services and rates from Service Providers
• Ensure shipment processing aligns with quality and safety procedures
• Ensure all financial and administrative activities comply with company standards
• Oversee and sign off on all SOPs related to the project in conjunction with Contracts Manager and KAM
• Provide direction, support, and targets to team members
• Manage performance, staff development, and appraisal processes
• Foster cooperation between teams in different locations
• Provide manpower planning within the Logistics function
• Assist in personnel management within the Logistics Team
• Participate in meetings with the Logistics Team to share information and feedback
• Motivate and drive the team to meet project objectives

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• BA/BS degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience required
• Strong operational skills
• Strong knowledge of logistics
• Heavy lift domestic trucking experience
• Strong management skills
