Sr QA Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation solutions and code base, including planning, design, scripting, execution, debugging, and reporting tasks using Nunit, C#, Javascript, Selenium, SQL, and ReportPortal.
• Perform React UI and API Test Automation, utilizing frameworks such as JEST.
• Familiarity with BDD using frameworks such as cucumber.
• Coordinate various test-related activities for project delivery, including identification of task dependencies, creation of test schedules, design of test data, and utilization of test environments.
• Craft custom solutions from existing or new processes to facilitate deep coverage of regression, smoke, and patch validation needs.
• Design, plan, and execute application and system testing strategies to ensure software quality at all stages of the system life cycle.
• Monitor and execute automation test activities for large projects, including error debugging, reporting, and communication with stakeholders.
• Develop and monitor test metrics and communicate findings regularly to key stakeholders.
• Work with technical and business teams to define testing scope and collaborate with development teams, release engineers, product, and program managers to determine release readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, an Associate's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent education in a related discipline.
• 6 to 8 years of related work experience in application development.
• QA experience in automated testing of web and Windows applications using industry-leading tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge or experience in U.S. banking or banking applications is helpful.
• Ability to create detailed test scripts from design documents, integrated products, and training materials.
• Ability to analyze and report defects or variances from regression testing to management and development teams.
• Experience in driving automation needs, assessing documentation, and converting into structured automation and reporting.
• Participation in automation code reviews and providing quality feedback.
• Experience building and improving CI/CD pipelines for testing and deployment.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, Selenium, Postman, Jira, CICD, Git, Swagger.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages including .NET languages (VB / C#), SQL, Selenium, VBScript.
• Extensive knowledge of information systems elements (hardware, software, network) and their application to business functions.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced agile methodologies.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Mock frameworks such as Mockito.
• Familiarity with TestOps principles, practices, and frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6 to 8 years of relevant work experience.
