Sr. Software Systems Test Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute day-to-day system testing activities for high-quality product delivery.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies to ensure successful testing of new products/features.
• Identify, document, and manage defects using tools like Jira or Bugzilla, and oversee their lifecycle.
• Contribute to product optimization by recommending enhancements based on testing insights and user experience.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality standards.
• Analyze test results and provide clear, actionable reports on system quality and stability.
• Participate in agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups) and promote testing process improvements.
• Innovate by introducing new technologies and methodologies to improve product integration and testing.
• Perform testing types such as functional, integration, regression, performance, and usability testing.
• Automate test processes, ensuring efficiency and alignment with emerging testing tools and practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (engineering or science); an advanced degree is preferred.
• 5 years of professional experience in testing software, including automated, functional, and non-functional testing.
• Experience in testing integrated hardware with mobile applications is preferred.
• Experience in software development and testing within Agile environments is preferred.
• Strong experience in developing and executing test plans, test cases, and automated testing.
• Experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) and defect management process.
• Practical problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate technical information effectively.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and changing environment and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong English communication skills (oral and written).

Nice to Have

• Experience in testing integrated hardware with mobile applications.
• Experience in testing methodologies and the product development lifecycle within Agile frameworks.
• Experience with PTC RV&S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (engineering or science); advanced degree preferred.
• 5 years of professional experience in testing software.
