About the Role

KLAS 8 News Now, the Nexstar Media TV station in Las Vegas, Nevada, has an exciting opportunity for a digital advertising sales star to serve as a consultant to our account executives and key clients while maximizing their earning potential by developing new business. We are looking for someone to complement our sales team of experienced and creative people in a fast-paced and fun environment. The Strategic Account Manager generates digital advertising revenue by calling on local and regional businesses and agencies to develop new business accounts. They will sell digital marketing solutions to these businesses utilizing Nexstar's full suite of digital products and assist account executives in client service and digital strategy for key station accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed individual revenue targets and develop a strategy to support achievement of goals
  • Prospect, qualify, develop, close, and grow new digital advertising business
  • Make in-person sales calls and phone calls to reach key decision makers
  • Conduct in-depth needs analysis to understand each client's unique advertising goals
  • Develop and present customized digital advertising solutions, confidently pitch and effectively close new business on your own and in collaboration with a sales manager
  • Provide regular follow-up reporting to clients using detailed analytics
  • Assist sales team with proposal development, client service, and analytics for key accounts
  • Develop a file of success stories and case studies to share with the sales team
  • Share knowledge of digital media products and trends during sales training meetings
  • Assist sales management team with special projects related to digital sales
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Expertise selling CTV and targeted video advertising is required
  • Experience with other digital advertising products such as display, SEM, SEO, and social media is a plus
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to write, design, and deliver clear and compelling information
  • Comprehensive knowledge and practical application of digital media targeting capabilities and analytics
  • A consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Effective relationship building, customer service, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Professional appearance
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a satisfactory driving record
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, mass communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience selling CTV and digital video advertising or minimum of 5 years in a digital marketing strategic role with previous B2B sales experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience with digital advertising products such as display, SEM, SEO, and social media

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, mass communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or proven work-related experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience selling CTV and digital video advertising OR a minimum of 5 years in a digital marketing strategic role along with previous B2B sales experience
