About the Role

Southern Hampshire University is a team of innovators and world changers, committed to transforming lives through a people-centered strategy that has defined the institution since 1932. The university serves over 180,000 learners worldwide and is seeking to expand its reach by adding a social media specialist to support its varsity Esports program. The role involves creating and coordinating social media content, promoting events, and engaging with the esports community to enhance the university's presence in collegiate esports.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate posts for all team matches to social media platforms.
Standardize content across all social media profiles.
Design and execute social media growth strategies.
Collaborate with the Esports broadcast technician to develop stream assets.
Develop and distribute copy covering SNHU Esports matches.
Distribute information for all SNHU Esports events.
Participate as a member of the SNHU Esports content team.

Requirements

Enrollment in an Undergraduate program at SNHU.
Work study part of the financial aid package.
Strong social media knowledge.
Must be reliable and punctual.
Respectfulness and exceptional communication skills.
Experience with various technologies including Twitch and Discord.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with collegiate esports.
Knowledge of technology utilized in esports productions such as Streamlabs OBS, Vmix, Twitch, YouTube.

Qualifications

Enrollment in an undergraduate program at SNHU.
Experience with Twitch and Discord.

Benefits & Perks

Flexible shift hours between 8:00am-10:00pm.
Hourly pay range of $12.00 - $15.00, based on skills, qualifications, experience, and internal considerations.
