About the Role

The position of Student Worker - Student Digital Marketing Specialist is to assist the DMS team in the Digital Marketing Department with web-based projects, including creating and updating web pages, managing vanity URLs, reporting, and administrative tasks. The role supports the team in maintaining and improving the university's online presence and website health, providing valuable experience for students in marketing, business, or communications.

Key Responsibilities

Creating and updating event pages, gcu.edu, subdomains, and affiliated websites as requested by the client services team.
Creating vanities and utilizing them for lead generation.
Setting up vanity and URL/file redirects.
Reporting on and fixing broken links and misspellings on gcu.edu and related sites.
Running monthly vanity renewal reports and updating expiring vanities as instructed.
Pulling and reporting military compliance reports monthly.
Reporting and updating website statistics across gcu.edu and related sites.
Assisting full-time DMS team members with administrative and reporting tasks.
Participating in special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Current GCU students enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in marketing, business, communications, or similar fields.
Basic HTML knowledge is a strong plus.
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Willingness to work, learn, and be flexible.

Nice to Have

Experience with website CMS platforms such as Drupal and WordPress.

Qualifications

Enrolled full-time at GCU in a bachelor's or master's program.
Retain a 2.0 GPA for bachelor students or a 3.0 GPA for master students.
Maintain good financial and academic standing with the university.
