About the Role

As the Team Lead, Brand and Agency Management within the Global Engagement team at American Airlines, you will lead creative and branding agencies to shape consistent brand narratives and visual guidelines for one of the world's most recognizable brands. This role involves managing creative campaigns, maintaining brand standards, and collaborating with various internal teams and external partners to support the airline's marketing and brand objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee strategizing and executing emotive advertising campaigns across various channels, optimizing based on cultural trends, consumer research, and industry best practices.
  • Develop compelling creative that supports increased travel bookings and engagement for the AAdvantage loyalty program and cobrand.
  • Help shape guidelines for branded activations and new brand experiences both internally and externally, ensuring a consistent look across all touchpoints.
  • Balance emotional storytelling, creative vision, attention to detail, and passion for human-centric data.
  • Support the day-to-day relationship with agency partners and business stakeholders.
  • Manage agencies in conducting research and developing key target insights to inform creative briefs and final creative assets.
  • Develop creative assets to drive flight bookings, loyalty, and cobrand acquisition.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Paid Media, Loyalty, Cobrand, and Customer Experience teams to ensure creative development aligns with business messaging and brand strategy.
  • Manage agency partners to identify process improvements and maintain contract and cost management.
  • Review creative work to ensure adherence to American Airlines brand standards and best practices during conception and implementation.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure creative deliverables are executed according to plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, design, or equivalent experience/training.
  • 5+ years of experience in an advertising creative agency, internal creative team, loyalty division, or B2C marketing role focused on creative development.
  • Proven experience in brand management, creative campaign execution, and agency management.
  • Familiar with guiding creative development from concept through production across multiple channels including digital, social, TV, OOH, print, and radio.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to manage third-party partners and foster collaboration between teams of marketing managers, strategists, and agencies.
  • Experience leading a creative agency planning for yearly business objectives.
  • Ability to create and manage budgets and provide strategic recommendations to deliver value with a creative agency.

Nice to Have

  • 1-2 years of leading a team or being responsible for team performance.
  • Knowledge of paid media channels and KPIs.
