About the Role

The Technical Product Marketing Manager/Senior Manager at Salesforce is responsible for exercising strategic vision, storytelling skills, and technical expertise to develop relevant positioning and messaging for complex products. The role involves crafting compelling stories, demos, and content to support sales, partners, and customers, working cross-functionally with product, marketing, sales, and development teams. The position emphasizes simplifying complex concepts and highlighting customer success to drive sales pipeline and new customer acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Management to understand product strategy and roadmaps, distill key functionality and value into core product positioning and messaging.
  • Roadmap product strategy to support launches, new releases, content, campaigns, events, and sales enablement.
  • Collaborate with campaigns, solution engineering, and other product marketers to align on programs that drive pipeline.
  • Develop and deliver demos, including building compelling narratives and owning technical execution in demo videos and demo orgs.
  • Create succinct and effective sales training materials such as FAQs and training content for non-technical sales teams.
  • Keep current with technology trends and incorporate new technologies into presentations, demos, and content.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience in technical product marketing, product management, or solution engineering at a high tech company or similar field.
  • Experience with enterprise applications such as CRM, ERP, customer service, or similar solutions.
  • Expertise in building end-to-end product demos, including narrative development and technical execution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting to executives, vendors, partners, and customers.
  • Proven ability to define and drive project execution in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance.
  • Hands-on experience creating marketing assets like positioning, messaging, slide decks, demo videos, and webinar content.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, iOS, APIs, Apex, Java, and design tools such as Figma.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Nice to Have

  • Outstanding organizational skills for managing multiple projects within tight deadlines.
  • Video design and editing skills using tools like Adobe Premier, Camtasia, or FinalCut.
  • Experience with Salesforce products and/or other SaaS and B2B platforms.
  • Salesforce Certifications (Administrator, Developer) and Trailhead badges.
  • Application development experience on the Salesforce Platform.
