About the Role

CACI is looking for a Test Engineer to support our DoD customer by implementing an enterprise IT service delivery model that provides consistent, secure, high-quality, and cost-effective services to enable mission success and improve end user experience across the customer environment. The role involves delivering enhanced capabilities and services related to enterprise ITSM solutions, service desk, endpoint management, security, and field support for end user devices, facilitating the transition from IT operations to mission-focused activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute unit/component test procedures for all project components, create and execute integration test procedures, execute regression tests, coordinate and execute user acceptance testing, and create and execute performance tests.
  • Conduct component integration testing, including performance benchmarking, fault tolerance, interface compliance, and functional completeness.
  • Support current production system break/fix and enhancement efforts, including requirements review, test formulation, test scenario preparation, test execution, and test summary preparation.
  • Document and analyze test results, produce status reports, and assist with the defect management process.
  • Perform requirement analysis and independently create test plans, test cases, and test reports of good quality.
  • Assist with technical artifacts such as Requirements Traceability Matrix, Use Cases, User Interface Specifications, and migration plans.
  • Estimate testing efforts for project planning and tracking, and provide input to project schedules.
  • Report testing results to the architecture team and stakeholders regularly.
  • Monitor defects to ensure timely resolution, adhere to defect tracking standards, and ensure proper retesting of fixed defects.
  • Run performance benchmarks, conduct performance tuning, and build capacity planning models.
  • Identify potential testing or work product improvements.
  • Provide informal demonstrations to staff and customers.
  • Document and track defects and change requests, participate in the Change Control Board (CCB) process, and report defect metrics.
  • Drive and implement automation process improvements.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience (a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of experience; a Master's Degree may be substituted for a Bachelor's and 3 years of experience).
  • Experience with ServiceNow.
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) and/or Microsoft Intune.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting.
  • Ability to package tests into suites for smoke/regression testing.
  • Strong ServiceNow platform knowledge.
  • Experience testing in multiple ITSM modules, including manual ServiceNow testing.
  • Experience setting up test environments, executing test cases, and tracking defects.
  • Experience with component, application, integration, and performance testing procedures and criteria.
  • Experience defining acceptance criteria and coordinating acceptance testing.
  • Experience in requirements traceability.
  • Experience creating and executing test plans and documenting results.
  • Experience coordinating automation testing efforts across teams.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to develop and complete projects.
  • Accuracy and thoroughness in implementing project specifications and design requirements.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL).
  • Experience using ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
  • Ability to define and configure test automation using ServiceNow ATF.
  • Monitoring, fixing issues, and maintaining ATF tests.
  • Experience with Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs in ServiceNow.
  • Experience with AngularJS, JavaScript, SQL, and related technologies.
  • Experience with ServiceNow client and server-side JavaScript and APIs.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification or ability to obtain it.
  • Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM, ITIL, CSM, or similar).
