Test Engineer I

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Involve in planning, monitoring, organizing and controlling of testing activities and tasks.
• Develop test objectives, test policies, test strategies and test plans.
• Deploy and manage tools/resources for testing.
• Define test estimation techniques.
• Perform project risk analysis and design plans/solutions to address them.
• Generate test evaluation reports.
• Analyze, design, develop, and maintain test cases, test approaches, and test plans.
• Conduct functional testing, regression testing, and system integration testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and report issues found during test execution.
• Develop/Review test artifacts (test cases, test specifications, etc.) that validate requirements.
• Perform root cause analysis when issues are identified in the application.
• Support continuous improvement of test processes.
• Create test deliverables at the end of each sprint/release.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: BA/BS in Information Systems, Business, or related field.
• Five plus years of experience with functional testing.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
• Expertise with writing test cases and test procedures.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Possess excellent problem-solving and analytical reasoning skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a remote team or with geographically dispersed team.
• Successful candidates must be a USC/GC/EAD and able to complete a Public Trust background check.

Nice to Have

• Experience with automation testing.

• BA/BS in Information Systems, Business, or related field.
