Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring the quality of existing and new features through both manual and automated testing and use of continuous integration techniques where practical.
  • Partner closely with the Business Analysts to create acceptance criteria for user stories and leverage these to create automated tests.
  • Produce test scripts, materials, and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services, specifying requirements for environment, data, resources, and tools.
  • Evaluate and plan for regression testing for new releases of 3rd party/cloud-based solutions and Unum-specific configurations or customizations.
  • Partner with team members to assist with and drive test automation through all phases of testing (unit, system, integration, regression).
  • Advocate for Quality Assurance best practices across the team throughout deliverables.
  • Analyze and report test activities and results using industry best practices aligned with company reporting and metrics.
  • Create test strategies, plans, cases, coverage, and execution reports to support QA efforts.
  • Maintain traceability records from test cases back to requirements.
  • Communicate daily with Scrum Master or Team Lead on progress, impediments, and planned activities.
  • Participate in sizing and estimation activities within the agile team.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Designers, Engineers, Architects to ensure features meet or exceed expectations.
  • Automate testing of software to industry standards.
  • Create and maintain appropriate test artifacts such as Test Plans and Sprint Plans.
  • May direct activities of onshore and offshore testing teams and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Ensure project progress is up-to-date in ALM tools and participate in daily standups.
  • Think with the end customer in mind, ensuring solutions improve customer experience and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Experience in Web Apps/ APIs testing developed in .NET/C#.
  • Strong exposure to QA automation framework involving Selenium with C#.
  • Strong exposure to API Testing using Rest Assured.
  • Experience creating automation testing from scratch.
  • Good exposure to project delivery using Scrum Agile methodology.
  • Experience with cross-browser testing and non-functional testing such as performance, security, and vulnerability testing.
  • Strong exposure to testing applications deployed in AWS.
  • Demonstrates analytical ability and critical thinking skills.
  • Takes a logical, analytical approach to problem solving and pays close attention to detail.
  • Experience with Agile Development Methodologies.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Strong focus on quality delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player capable of working effectively with diverse teams.
  • Able to solve complex testing needs and drive overall solution quality.
  • Test Certifications such as ISTQB, CSM, CSD, CSP are preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in testing in cloud environments and with automation frameworks from scratch.
