About the Role

TekSynap is seeking members for an Agile service contract. To meet strategic goals and operational needs, specialized Agile teams are needed to focus on Data Engineering, Data Standards, Core Services, and Enterprise Tools support. This contract is for Agile teams to advance the organization's Enterprise Services capabilities, focusing on delivering secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions that meet evolving business needs. Agile teams will be responsible for understanding complex technical and organizational requirements, then translating them into innovative, efficient solutions that align with enterprise standards and promote seamless integration across various systems. Following the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agile methodology, the teams will ensure a continuous delivery model that meets rigorous standards of security, scalability, and reliability. Agile teams will bring expertise across essential domains, including data engineering and standards, software development, and enterprise tool support, ensuring comprehensive capabilities to meet the diverse technical and operational needs of the government customer. Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies to enhance testing processes for COTS applications and Atlassian products.
  • Design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure compliance with system requirements and accessibility standards (including Section 508 compliance).
  • Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for application products, including plugins and configurations within Atlassian Data Center tools.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in testing methodologies for complex software/hardware applications, particularly for COTS tools and Atlassian products.
  • Participate in risk management assessments and software/hardware development, focusing on user requirements analysis, test design, and selection of appropriate test tools.
  • Create, execute, and provide test reports for software and system testing, ensuring alignment with FISMA-related documentation and ATO requirements.
  • Review and assess government test plans and reports for technical accuracy, effectiveness, and compliance with established standards.
  • Support the execution of customer acceptance test activities, ensuring that the COTS applications and Atlassian products meet end-user expectations and accessibility needs.
  • Identify, document, and provide remediation for issues discovered during testing, offering detailed root-cause analysis and recommendations for resolving problems.
  • Support the integration of new software and code releases, including security certification testing, by utilizing configuration management tools and ensuring the testing environment is maintained correctly.
  • Work in an Agile organization using Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Confluence, and SAFe.
  • Provide team-specific training as needed.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance or higher.
  • Five or more years of experience in related field.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Confluence, and SAFe.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices, including SAFe principles.
  • Ability to document work in JIRA with Epics, Features, and Stories.
  • Experience with creating and maintaining product and iteration backlogs.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to coordinate with teams and stakeholders.
  • Use of government-provided tools such as JIRA and Confluence for work management.
  • Ability to break down work into manageable features with clear acceptance criteria.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
