Job Description

About the Role

The Test Engineer - Senior will be responsible for developing and managing the Test & Evaluation (T&E) Strategy, Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), and related documentation within the Standup Integrated Test Team (ITT). The role involves coordinating testing activities, supporting hardware-in-the-loop and live fire testing, and establishing relationships with stakeholders to ensure program goals are met through effective test planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the T&E Strategy, TEMP, and other required documentation.
  • Form subgroups and identify T&E resource requirements.
  • Coordinate planning, management, and oversight of DT/OT activities and maintain oversight of Contractor and Participating Test Organization (PTO) T&E activities.
  • Document test activities, including writing test reports, analyzing test data, and making recommendations to leadership.
  • Support developmental hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing in a digital environment, as well as live fire testing (LFT) in an operational environment.
  • Establish trusted and influential relationships with customers, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal and external organizations to accomplish program goals.
  • Translate client technical needs into technical specifications and drive projects to closure.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of engineering experience with a focus on developmental test or operational test (DT/OT).
  • Experience in writing/translating test documents such as TEMP and DT/OT plans.
  • Knowledge of Government policies, directives, standards, handbooks, and pamphlets related to security.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with both internal and external organizations.
  • Ability to independently execute, lead, and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • B.S. degree in an engineering or technical discipline.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ACAT I/II acquisition programs.
  • Familiarity with military communication systems, DoD standards, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of tactical sensors, missile defense effectors, tactical data link networks, sensor/effector integration, aircraft systems.
  • Knowledge of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's framework, directives, and policies.
  • Master's degree in engineering or technical discipline.

  • B.S. degree in an engineering or technical discipline.
  • Master's degree in engineering or technical discipline (Highly Desired).
