Job Description

About the Role

The Vice President of Events Marketing leads a team responsible for the overall strategy for proprietary events, industry conferences, and webinar programs for Fidelity's intermediary and institutional clients. This role involves partnering with various stakeholders across Fidelity to leverage events as a key channel for client acquisition, retention, and brand awareness, and collaborating with teams to design, promote, and analyze event performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team responsible for the overall strategy for proprietary events, industry conferences, and webinars targeting Fidelity's intermediary and institutional clients.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders across Fidelity Institutional, Institutional Wealth Management Services, and Asset Management to align event strategies with business priorities.
  • Collaborate with the Meeting & Events team, Sales, and Relationship Management leaders to ensure event/webinar strategies support business goals and provide value to the audience.
  • Work with Marketing, Segment Management/Business Enablement, and Enterprise Marketing teams to design agendas, promote events, and track and analyze performance.
  • Provide insights into how event strategies can drive strategic impact, product launches, thought leadership, and sales efforts.
  • Use marketing metrics to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the events strategy, including lead conversion from engagement.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree.
  • 15+ years of experience in marketing or communications.
  • 15+ years in progressive leadership roles.
  • Knowledge of financial services and/or investment products.
  • Intermediary or institutional market experience preferred.
  • Experience leading multi-faceted marketing projects through execution.
  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 24 licenses a plus or can be acquired while in the role.

  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 24 licenses (if not already held).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree.
  • 15+ years of experience in marketing or communications.
  • Experience in financial services or investment products.
