The Vice President, Marketing role involves leading a strategic, enterprise-wide marketing organization responsible for shaping and executing RTI's marketing strategy to drive growth across public and commercial sectors, overseeing functions such as brand strategy, digital marketing, content marketing, customer engagement, and account-based marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of RTI's enterprise-wide marketing strategy to drive growth across public and commercial sectors, aligning initiatives with institutional goals and market dynamics.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Growth, Solutions, and Executive leadership, ensuring marketing strategies are integrated, responsive, and positioned for measurable impact.
  • Provide enterprise leadership across brand positioning, event strategy, and RTI's digital presence, including the external website, to reinforce reputation, reach, and visibility.
  • Develop and lead a forward-looking, proactive strategy that builds RTI's presence as a mission-driven organization and trusted thought leader.
  • Direct the work of core marketing sub-functions, including Promotion & Engagement Campaigns, Marketing Operations & CEP Client Data, Content Development & Website, and Conferences & Events.
  • Leverage emerging technologies, including AI, predictive analytics, marketing automation, and dynamic content tools, to deliver personalized, data-driven engagement at scale.
  • Drive the development and execution of an integrated thought leadership and content strategy, amplifying RTI's scientific expertise through white papers, webinars, conferences, and media engagement.
  • Build and operationalize a marketing performance framework, integrating dashboards, KPIs, and real-time analytics to measure marketing ROI and support revenue forecasting.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, media, and strategic partners to elevate RTI's presence and influence in priority markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelors level degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 15 years of progressive B2B or B2G marketing experience.
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that drive brand growth, market share, and revenue across diverse channels and customer segments.
  • Deep understanding of brand positioning, development, and governance to build strong, consistent, and differentiated brand equity.
  • Strong ability to translate customer insights and market trends into actionable marketing strategies and compelling value propositions.
  • Advanced understanding of AI and digital marketing capabilities, including predictive analytics, marketing automation, CRM integration, personalization, and conversational AI tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale demand generation programs through integrated marketing campaigns, account-based marketing (ABM), and CRM-linked digital strategies.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity, drive transformation, and scale marketing capabilities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
