About the Role

BIOTRONIK is a leading manufacturer of cardio- and endovascular medical devices, headquartered in Berlin, Germany, with a presence in over 100 countries. The company is dedicated to advancing cardiology and improving patients' lives through innovative medical solutions. They are seeking an experienced Vice President of Marketing for their new Neuromodulation division, requiring a visionary leader with expertise in neuromodulation, strong analytical skills, and the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies that support the company's growth objectives and enhance brand awareness in the neurology and neurostimulation markets.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape, utilizing insights to inform marketing strategies.
  • Lead the planning and execution of product launches, ensuring effective communication and positioning in the market.
  • Identify and target key market segments to optimize marketing efforts and ensure tailored messaging for different customer groups.
  • Oversee brand development and ensure consistent messaging across all marketing channels.
  • Drive digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, social media, and content marketing to increase online visibility and engagement.
  • Manage and mentor the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Collaborate with research and development teams to formulate product development strategies.
  • Work with key opinion leaders, salesforce, and clinical partners to create impactful plans for customer targeting, messaging, and product launches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in marketing, with significant experience in a startup environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies in the neurology or neurostimulation field.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret market data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team.
  • Experience managing a multi-hundred-million-dollar business in a competitive market.
  • Experience developing and launching into new markets.
  • Downstream and upstream marketing experience in a highly competitive medical device market.
  • Ability to work in hospitals, operating rooms, clinics, and surgical centers.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.
  • Strong decision-making, organizational, and prioritization skills.

Nice to Have

  • Prior neuromodulation experience.
  • MBA degree.
  • Experience in medical device or biotech marketing.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of post-MBA experience in medical device or biotech marketing, or 10+ years in medical device or biotech marketing.
