About the Role

The Vice President of Growth at Capital Technology Group is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving strategic expansion in the federal IT services market. The role involves leading business development efforts, building and mentoring a high-performing growth team, and ensuring the pipeline reflects ambition and customer needs. Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a comprehensive growth strategy supporting near-term wins and long-term positioning in the federal IT services market.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align business development initiatives with CTG's mission, capabilities, and emerging market trends.
  • Define, monitor, and optimize pipeline health and key growth metrics to inform decision-making and investment.
  • Manage the growth budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to maximize return on investment and support scalable, sustainable expansion.
  • Lead full-lifecycle federal capture strategy across new business and recompetes, including personally driving high-priority pursuits.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders and teaming partners.
  • Oversee the development of high-quality, compliant, and compelling proposals, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships, expand into new mission areas and federal agencies, and leverage relationships in core markets.
  • Work with leadership and marketing to elevate CTG's brand visibility and thought leadership.
  • Manage, mentor, and support members of the growth team, establishing performance expectations and development plans.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in federal contracting, including leadership roles in business development, capture, and/or growth strategy.
  • Demonstrated success in driving significant growth within a federal IT professional services business.
  • Proven track record of winning large, complex federal contracts such as IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, BOAs, and Task Orders.
  • Deep understanding of the full federal acquisition lifecycle, including opportunity shaping, solution development, pricing, proposal compliance, and post-award transition.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft high-quality materials and deliver persuasive presentations.
  • Exceptional leadership skills and ability to build and manage relationships across government and industry.
  • Experience with data collection and market intelligence tools such as SAM, FPDS, USAspending, GovWin, HigherGov.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, U.S. Citizenship, ability to obtain federal security clearance, and willingness to work remotely with frequent in-person collaboration in the Washington D.C. / Silver Spring, MD area.
