About the Role

A Vice President (VP) of Brand Marketing at Hiscox is a senior management role responsible for shaping and leading the company's overall brand strategy and presence in the market. Key Responsibilities

  • Shape and execute the overall brand strategy of the company, ensuring alignment with global goals.
  • Define and refine the brand's unique value proposition to resonate with target audiences and differentiate from competitors.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the brand's visual and verbal identity, including logos, messaging, and tone of voice.
  • Lead the creation of integrated marketing campaigns to communicate the brand message and increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Monitor and manage brand equity, tracking brand health metrics and implementing strategies to improve brand perception and loyalty.
  • Build and manage a high-performing brand team, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with departments such as product development, sales, and customer service to ensure brand strategy alignment.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and manage the brand budget, allocating resources effectively to meet goals.
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure branding initiatives' success and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ensure strategic business plans for the brand department align with overall corporate strategy.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize brand programs, marketing campaigns, and partnerships to exceed sales, profit, and engagement targets.
  • Communicate brand programs across key support departments to foster collaboration and enthusiasm.
  • Partner with channels to drive investment in new brand initiatives and programs.
  • Conduct consumer and trade research to inform product development aligned with current trends.
  • Coach and develop the brand management team to maintain a pool of talented, promotable staff.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in brand management.
  • 5+ years of people management experience, with a passion for mentoring and guiding others.
  • Superior analytical skills with experience leveraging data to deliver brand KPIs.
  • Experience with budgeting and P&L management.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry is a plus.
  • Ability to manage input across multiple executive stakeholders and articulate priorities clearly.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • A team-player attitude, self-management, and fast learning ability.
  • A strategic and analytical mindset for making data-driven decisions.
  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing or a related field preferred.
