About the Role

The Vice President of Reentry Partnership Development is responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of the Reentry Partnership Development team at GEO. The role involves setting goals, developing plans to achieve those goals, and ensuring the organization meets or exceeds revenue, margin, and strategic targets. GEO provides diversified correctional and community reentry services, working with government partners worldwide to deliver evidence-based rehabilitation, post-release reintegration, and supervision of individuals in the community. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all staff and functions related to Reentry Partnership Development, including retaining existing contracts and obtaining new ones.
  • Direct managerial activities such as interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, and resolving employee issues.
  • Manage the size, structure, and quality of the Partnership Development team to maximize revenue and margin targets.
  • Represent GEO to government agencies, partners, and at industry events.
  • Monitor legislative efforts and regulatory requirements, developing plans to address those impacting the organization.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government officials and educate them about the company's services.
  • Lead the team in identifying and analyzing partnership development targets for Reentry by market and region.
  • Collaborate with the Proposal Development team to ensure timely and compelling proposal submissions.
  • Conduct customer site visits and interact with clients to develop and maintain positive relationships and promote services.
  • Communicate with financial personnel regarding budgets, forecasts, margins, and project pricing.
  • Develop ongoing forecasts and partnership development projection data.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on activities to senior management.
  • Lead efforts in developing and maintaining a network of contacts with government leaders and criminal justice professionals.
  • Oversee consultant relationships and lead special projects such as Strategic Planning and Revenue Steering Committee.
  • Maintain industry and product knowledge and inform senior management of market conditions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Criminal Justice, Communications, or related field.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in sales management, including government sales and account management.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales strategies for the government or corrections segments.
  • Strategic partnership development or sales account planning skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of corrections industry and industry trends.
  • Extensive knowledge of electronic monitoring services.
  • Conflict management skills, including negotiation, problem determination, and resolution.
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external contacts at all levels.
  • Working knowledge of the Criminal Justice system and ability to relate to officials at all levels.
  • Strong management skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Change management skills and analytical reasoning abilities.
  • Extensive travel required with frequent overnight stays.
  • Ability to work with computers and relevant software.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with government or corrections industry sales strategies.
  • Knowledge of criminal justice and related systems.
  • Experience leading strategic planning initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Criminal Justice, Communications or related field.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in sales management, including government sales and account management.
