Web Designer Student Assistant

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage website updates, web page designs, and social media postings for the AI2 Center.
• Update and create content on the artificial intelligence website for the university: ai.ufl.edu.
• Assist with creating and publishing content on social media platforms to elevate awareness of AI achievements at the University of Florida.
• Work approximately 12 hours per week onsite during normal business hours (Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.).

Requirements

• Must be a current UF student in good academic standing with a minimum 2.0 GPA.
• Strong experience and proficiency in managing web content via Terminal 4, Mercury Theme.
• Familiarity with web design best practices and search engine optimization.
• Ability to handle tasks successfully with minimum supervision.
• Good communication skills, including reading, writing, and professional interaction.

Nice to Have

• Terminal 4 or WordPress knowledge.
• Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
• Knowledge of ADA web standards.
• Problem solving and creativity skills.
