The 2026 Summer Internship program offers students the opportunity to gain experience in business development support within a collaborative team environment, working closely with investment professionals to respond to new business proposals and provide client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of the firm's strategy offerings and overall investment approach; present strategy summaries in bi-weekly meetings
  • Research and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to provide actionable insights
  • Learn how to access, analyze, and report data from the firm's proprietary systems, content library software, and other data solutions used across the firm
  • Assist with the completion of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), questionnaires (general and due diligence), and various ad hoc requests to maintain strong client relationships and support business growth

Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree and enrolled at a university during Fall 2026 semester (August 2026 - December 2026)
  • Able to begin full-time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2027 - August 2027
  • Minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
  • Business proficiency in English
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with financial markets and interest in fixed income, asset management, and client/consultant relationships
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally at all levels
  • Experience or prior college internships in a financial, client-oriented role, or relevant coursework and involvement in business, finance, and analytics

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data analysis and market research
  • Interest in learning about fixed income and asset management industry

Qualifications

  • Enrollment at an accredited 4-year college or university
  • Minimum 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
