About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop prospective clients through strategies including internet research, trade show lists, referrals, professional directories, and personal investigation.
• Foster and close new clients through referrals, cold calling, networking, and attending tradeshows and regional organizations.
• Grow new business from existing clients by working closely with senior leadership to expand relationships and upsell the TransPerfect portfolio.
• Creatively problem solve to improve current new business development strategies.
• Negotiate rates and deadlines with prospective and current clients.
• Educate clients about the translation process, including rates, turnaround times, and competitors' information.
• Liaise with production to ensure jobs are handled appropriately with attention to detail, resulting in a high-quality product.
• Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction with delivery, quality, and customer service.
• Understand industries that TransPerfect markets to, including industry leaders and current events.
• Perform other special projects or duties as required.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Effective time management.

Nice to Have

• Experience in client relationship management or sales.
• Knowledge of the language services or translation industry.
• Additional language skills.
