About the Role

The Account Executive, National Accounts OffPremise, at Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC), will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key regional and national chain accounts in the beverage alcohol industry. The role involves developing and executing annual business plans to drive sales, expand market share, and maximize revenue within the OffPremise segment. Key Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture relationships with key accounts, including all OffPremise channels of trade, to understand their consumers and business needs and become their trusted advisor.
  • Drive sales growth by promoting and selling the company's products and services to existing and potential customers.
  • Collaborate with supplier partner national account sales teams to build customer business plans and secure brand activation resources.
  • Work with cross-functional teams such as category, marketing, and supplier partners to create customized solutions and proposals for each account.
  • Conduct product presentations, tastings, and training sessions to educate customers on product features and benefits.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned accounts, including upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Provide product education and training to customers and their staff to enhance their knowledge of the company's offerings.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform account strategies.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with customers to secure profitable agreements.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, reports, and updates to sales management.
  • Continuously improve product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry expertise through ongoing learning.
  • Attend industry and company events to network and build relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (MBA a plus).
  • Four to six years of proven success in sales, chain account management, or business development within the beverage industry.
  • Ability to occasionally work evening hours and weekends to support customer needs.
  • Ability to travel outside of market or state 50% of the time and support chains within an assigned territory.
