About the Role

The primary role of the Analyst, Competitive Analyses is to perform detailed item match analyses to support customer evaluation and adoption of Avendra's programs, including market baskets for new customers and product optimizations for existing customers. The role involves working with the Avendra product catalogue, identifying like-items, and collaborating with distribution partners. The individual must be detail-oriented, process-driven, flexible, and able to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Create customer evaluation analyses, such as market baskets and optimizations, for presentation to customers.
Support the market basket process and pipeline by working closely with the Senior Manager, Competitive Analyses.
Ensure the quality and timeliness of competitive analyses and maintain internal customer satisfaction.
Interface with Discovery and/or Business Development Representatives to gather information and communicate analysis status.
Provide accurate item matches using client specifications, quality indicators, and other relevant information.
Evaluate and consult with Strategic Sourcing to validate the accuracy and competitiveness of analyses.
Provide feedback to process stakeholders to promote continuous improvement of processes and offerings.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail and resourcefulness in developing accurate, comprehensive analyses.
Ability to develop market baskets that produce accurate and attractive results from both Avendra's and the customer's perspectives.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Excel.
Ability to work independently with flexibility for shifting priorities.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of the Lodging/Hospitality or Foodservice industry.

Nice to Have

Experience in hospitality or procurement environment (0-2 years of relevant experience).

Qualifications

BS/BA in a relevant field or equivalent years of experience.
