About the Role

The Area Manager-Client Relationship Optimization National Accounts at Arthrex, Inc. is responsible for managing and leading initiatives within the Southwest United States, focusing on strategic contracting and relationship building with high-volume accounts. The role involves driving sales growth across multiple product groups by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, sales agencies, and internal departments, while supporting Arthrex's mission to help surgeons treat their patients better.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary internal contact for select accounts, maintaining, strengthening, and expanding existing relationships.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor sales and finance plans (contracts) with accounts, coordinating with Finance, Sales, Legal, Business Development, Regional Management, Agencies, and Sales Representatives.
  • Obtain a thorough understanding of account sales history, surgeon customers, buying group affiliations, objectives, and structure.
  • Evaluate strategic opportunities with accounts and outline solutions in meetings with Finance, Sales, and Business Development.
  • Work with Legal to review contracts and other legal matters as necessary.
  • Review account visit requests with the Client Relationship Optimization National Accounts Director and formulate strategies accordingly.
  • Speak knowledgeably about orthopedic products, surgical procedures, and programs with both administrators and surgeons.
  • Coordinate training for regional management, agencies, and sales representatives on standardized programs.
  • Assist in formulating creative sales strategies for Arthrex's Client Relationship Optimization National Accounts.
  • Utilize CRMA sales evaluation software as an essential tool in daily activities.
  • Attend management, regional training meetings, and industry events as appropriate, and make presentations when requested.
  • Provide market expertise for assigned accounts and write periodic reports for leadership.
  • Travel over 50% of the time, ideally near a major airport within the territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of account management experience, including operating room and orthopedic devices or implants.
  • Experience making executive (“C” level) presentations.
  • Knowledge of surgical orthopedics and/or arthroscopy.
  • Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to analyze financial opportunities with mathematical models.
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to evaluate growth and loss percentages.
  • Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and persuade in a professional setting.
  • Ability to work with different functions and coordinate activities to achieve results.
  • Must be located near a major airport within the territory (Arizona, California, Nevada).

Nice to Have

  • MBA degree.
  • Experience in the operating room and orthopedic implants.
  • Experience with CRMA sales evaluation software.
