About the Role

The Area Manager for Fort Lauderdale is responsible for managing all Proximo Spirits Brand promotions within the assigned territory. This role involves identifying key promotional accounts, coordinating with local agencies and distributor partners, overseeing brand programming and execution, managing budgets, and building relationships with key accounts and distributors to ensure successful brand presence and market growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all Proximo Spirits Brand promotions within the assigned territory, including identifying key on-premise promotional accounts and setting promotional dates and times with accounts.
  • Identify and manage the local promotional agency, attend and monitor brand promotions, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Provide feedback to local management and Brand Managers on a scheduled basis.
  • Manage distributor partner participation in programming execution.
  • Order and manage POS materials, monitor their effectiveness, and ensure their use during key promotions.
  • Manage the local promotional budget and track spend to ensure budget attainment.
  • Identify top On & Off Premise Accounts in the territory and work with distributor sales reps to optimize these accounts.
  • Create and present brand programming to key local multi-unit on-premise accounts and new brand launch accounts.
  • Analyze inventory and depletion reports to prepare recaps, coordinate efforts, and identify opportunities.
  • Review and report on the execution of trade marketing programming, pricing, incentives, and distributor/market plans.
  • Establish and maintain key relationships with distributors and accounts in the marketplace.
  • Conduct business ethically and professionally, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Develop project plans, coordinate projects, and ensure timely completion within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in the consumer goods industry, spirits experience, and/or 3-tier distribution experience preferred.
  • Experience with On/Off premise Key Account calling preferred.
  • Proven sales management abilities with success in achieving sales goals.
  • Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with distributors and accounts.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, market trends, and competition.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, negotiation, time management, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid state driver’s license.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with spirits industry and 3-tier distribution.
  • Experience with Key Account calling in On/Off premise settings.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in consumer goods, spirits, or distribution industry.
  • Proven sales management and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and market trends.
