About the Role

The Assistant Brand Manager at Kao USA, Inc. will assist in driving brand growth through strategic planning, financial management, and cross-functional collaboration. The role involves developing and executing marketing plans, measuring and reporting on brand and market results, and supporting the overall brand objectives within a collaborative and results-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and executing annual marketing plans that drive top and bottom line brand objectives.
  • Lead the measurement and reporting of both brand and competitive in-market results.
  • Manage P&L by understanding budgeting practices, explaining major line items, and supporting financial information.
  • Conduct business analysis using specific methods and tools, and develop and deliver presentations summarizing analyzed information.
  • Participate in risk assessment and benefits/opportunities analysis.
  • Describe principles for market and competitor analysis and develop marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Identify and recommend marketing support tools and vehicles aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop marketing plans and analyze in-market results.
  • Discuss digital marketing approaches and tools.
  • Understand key retailer strategies and translate brand objectives into retailer-specific tactics.
  • Build retailer and shopper plans in partnership with Sales/Trade teams.
  • Create and evaluate retailer-focused in-market executions.
  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns and programs.
  • Work independently on the D2C platform to analyze data and translate findings into recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • 5+ years of marketing experience.
  • Experience with Nielsen, IRI, or other POS platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Foster a positive, transparent, growth-minded, and collaborative team environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with developing and delivering presentations.
  • Knowledge of locally relevant marketing strategies.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and techniques.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • 5+ years of marketing experience.
