About the Role

The Associate Brand Manager position will be deeply involved in building and executing plans for future growth within the Commercial Cleaning category at Rubbermaid Commercial Products, a division of Newell Brands. The role supports the development of strategic plans, manages brand projects, and collaborates across functions to drive business performance, innovation, and category growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of 3-year strategies and tactical plans that align with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct analysis to understand business performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage several brand projects ensuring timely and complete delivery.
  • Understand the consumer target and journey, delivering effective communication to drive purchase intent.
  • Support and lead the innovation process from idea generation to market success.
  • Analyze and recommend actions related to the product line P&L, focusing on profitable growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Distribution, Customer Service, IT, Finance, HR, and Legal to achieve business objectives.
  • Build annual brand marketing and business plans.
  • Achieve revenue and profit targets through key initiatives.
  • Partner with the Brand Commercialization team on new item and innovation projects.
  • Leverage analytics to inform innovation pipeline and build future portfolio strategies.
  • Manage in-market assortment and identify top-selling eCommerce items for digital marketing investments.
  • Calculate ROI of events, advertising, and projects, using data to inform decisions.
  • Analyze promotional events and plans, recommending enhancements.
  • Support customer teams in unlocking new distribution channels.
  • Conduct in-market chooser/user and distribution visits quarterly.
  • Manage the product portfolio, including adding, growing, or exiting categories and SKUs.
  • Ensure global brand consistency and support the execution of visual brand language.
  • Identify growth and operational efficiency opportunities across the category.

Requirements

  • A four-year college degree, MBA preferred.
  • 2+ years of brand management experience.
  • Experience in B2B preferred.
  • Up to 20% travel required.
  • Exposure to consumer insights and leveraging analytics from primary and secondary research, POS results, and competitor actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results and work cross-functionally.
  • Analytical P&L management skills and critical thinking to achieve financial results.

Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree, MBA preferred.
