About the Role

The Associate Director is responsible for digital media measurement and analytics within the Applied Analytics team at Publicis Groupe. This role involves using data and analytics techniques to answer client business questions, executing deliverables across various datasets, storytelling, and data visualization. The position requires managing team members and resources, focusing on numbers, problem-solving, and making complex topics relatable to inform media planning, targeting, and optimization. The role supports media and audience analytics activities, develops data strategies, and collaborates with clients to align measurement and research roadmaps with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute, manage, and deliver best-in-class measurement to inform media buying.
  • Lead discussions about critical metric development and technology integrations to improve data quality and efficiency.
  • Guide internal and client teams on using comprehensive data visualization to influence decision-making.
  • Develop data strategies and playbooks related to next-generation targeting.
  • Collaborate with client contacts to understand business goals and challenges.
  • Develop client Learning Agendas and implement 'test and learn' measurement and consumer research roadmaps.
  • Translate data to inform media planning, targeting, and budget allocations to optimize advertising investments.
  • Support media and audience analytics activities, including developing audience recommendations and mining target audience data.
  • Lead and support media teams using syndicated data and proprietary tools for targeting and budget decisions.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop direct reports.
  • Drive insights and analytics efforts, contributing to cross-brand learning roadmaps.
  • Lead data-centered learning initiatives to inform optimizations and future plans.
  • Implement measurement strategies to improve campaign performance and media efficiency.
  • Manage digital campaign data analysis, insights, and reporting.
  • Proactively educate clients and internal teams on research tools and approaches.
  • Create client-ready presentations and share findings and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in marketing, advertising, communications, business, sociology, or consumer insights.
  • 5+ years in media/marketing research, consumer insight, business consulting, or digital advertising research/analytics/insight.
  • 2+ years of people management experience.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with traditional and digital media advertising effectiveness.
  • Experience with syndicated and customer data environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of the measurement vendor marketplace and evaluating new capabilities.
  • Experience with statistical software packages (SAS, R, Python) a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, GoodData, Datorama is a plus.
  • Familiarity with relational database concepts.
