The Associate Director, US Offshore Sales, will be responsible for presenting the JHI proposition, developing relationships with clients and institutions, managing distribution channels, and delivering against sales targets in the US Offshore market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Present the JHI proposition in a coherent and persuasive manner to the target client base, increasing brand awareness, sales, and profitability across the region.
  • Take a pro-active approach to relationship building with local and global institutions, as well as with Introducers appointed by JHI in each country.
  • Develop new relationships and build on existing relationships in US Offshore, contributing to and delivering against the strategy set by the Head of Sales.
  • Deliver against new and existing business opportunities and distribution agreements/partners in US Offshore, including direct client calling, marketing, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Manage a range of existing distribution channels, implementing new distribution agreements proactively.
  • Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of JHI investment strategies/products, maintaining knowledge of financial markets and competitor products.
  • Provide quality information and a consistent house view to clients in a professional and timely manner.
  • Responsible for weekly and monthly reporting on sales activity and pipeline business within the region, maintaining and updating the Maximizer database.
  • Manage the collective net annual budget for the clientele and aim to reach and exceed predefined targets.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent leadership and customer relations experience, especially in multicultural and international contexts.
  • Support customers by providing creative and innovative solutions.
  • Ability to develop long-term relationships with clients and prospects and adapt priorities based on market and business needs.
  • Strong team player with a professional attitude.
  • Sound understanding of the sales process and building the JHI brand internationally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas broadly.
  • Resourceful, able to work with little support at times.
  • Transparent, honest, and focused on client service.
  • Approachable with good listening skills and technical communication ability.

Nice to Have

  • Ideally fluent in English and Spanish (Portuguese optional).
  • A Business School or Master Degree Graduate.
  • CFA Designation.

Qualifications

  • Experience in multicultural and international customer relationship management.
  • Support customers with creative solutions.
  • Ability to develop long-term client relationships.
  • Strong communication skills.
