We are also a leader in delivering software solutions to homebuilders to increase productivity and profitability. We are seeking an energetic go-getter for our newly developed Equipment Business Development Manager role. This position is responsible for driving growth and identifying new opportunities for our equipment products in the South / Southeast region, utilizing hunting skills and experience to pursue new relationships and deepen market penetration. The role offers great opportunity for advancement within the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities by researching and identifying potential clients and markets to expand the business.
  • Consistently prospect for new leads and maintain a developing list of potential prospects.
  • Drive accelerated sales growth in the assigned territory for existing accounts and new business to meet sales targets and performance objectives.
  • Implement cold outreach campaigns to potential contacts utilizing internal and external resources.
  • Create a strategy for market penetration for non-Alpine accounts and develop tactics for overcoming objections.
  • Map key external stakeholders and decision makers at customers.
  • Establish stakeholder relationships and identify customer strategy.
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities leveraging field insights, industry trends, and competitive intelligence to drive growth.
  • Develop and own monthly sales plans and provide quarterly updates on progress and results.
  • Develop and execute account plans and strategies aligned with territories.
  • Identify competitive issues, industry trends, and business opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed sales and profitability targets in the assigned territory.
  • Serve as the customer advocate and trusted business advisor, handling customer issues to resolution.
  • Marshal resources such as software support, equipment sales and service, and engineering service to meet account performance objectives and customer expectations.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or Construction Management preferred.
  • Experience in sales, with construction experience considered a plus.
  • Proven experience in identifying and pursuing business opportunities, leveraging field insights and competitive intelligence to drive growth.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to achieve key initiatives.
  • Highly motivated, results-driven, self-starter attitude.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite; industry-related software experience is a plus.
  • Aggressive growth mindset with a hunter mentality.
  • Savvy relationship builder capable of leveraging connections within customer organizations.
  • Strategic mindset with ability to compile data into actionable strategies.

Nice to Have

  • Construction experience.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or Construction Management (preferred).
