About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to significantly increase our daily newsletter subscriber base, including optimizing sign-up and engagement workflows, ensuring the editorial team creates compelling content for newsletters, and analyzing performance to refine strategy.
• Drive traffic to our website through SEO best practices and other content promotion methods, identifying new opportunities to reach potential readers and convert them into loyal visitors.
• Build up Community Impact's member readership program by improving offerings and tracking membership conversion data.
• Foster a digital community by actively engaging with our audience across all digital platforms.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in newsletters, digital content, social media, and audience development to identify new growth opportunities.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to newsletter subscriptions and website traffic, providing regular reports with actionable insights to inform future strategies and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of SEO principles and web analytics tools, including GA4.
• Ability to analyze data, draw actionable insights, and present findings clearly.
• Demonstrated success in growing online audiences and increasing engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong demonstrated expertise with email marketing and newsletters, including knowledge of ESPs.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Three-plus years of proven experience in audience development, digital marketing, or social media management, preferably within a news or media organization.

• Experience with growing a reader membership program is a plus.
• Strategic thinker with experience in local news and community engagement.

Benefits & Perks

• Salary range of $65,000-$80,000 based on experience.
