The AVP Product Marketing Manager role focuses on retail banking for the credit union, optimizing the member journey through market insights, data-driven planning, and cross-functional collaboration to develop strategic marketing solutions that increase product awareness, engagement, adoption, and retention across consumer and business financial products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages, directs, and controls the activities of staff, including coaching, mentoring, and improving skills to enhance the member experience.
  • Interviews, schedules, and assigns work to team members, establishing performance expectations, priorities, and goals.
  • Provides feedback, monitors results, and supports professional development initiatives for staff.
  • Recommends discipline or discharge of subordinates while maintaining proper documentation.
  • Manages campaign development for credit card products, investment solutions, deposit, and loan products, including research, strategy development, creative execution, and measurement.
  • Supports credit card product members with regular communications, including ongoing specials or campaigns.
  • Communicates the competitive position of the credit union's products and services to management.
  • Works with the Digital Marketing Specialist to build and maintain onboarding processes specific to credit card products.
  • Identifies and executes new opportunities for acquiring new members/customers.
  • Provides comprehensive quarterly reporting on marketing efforts and shares findings with leadership and executive management.
  • Uses data dashboards to understand customer segments and develop cross-selling strategies.
  • Manages brand standards and monitors consistency of execution throughout the credit union.
  • Develops advertising or assists with PR initiatives as needed.
  • Performs all other duties assigned by the FVP, Marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications.
  • Minimum 8 years of previous experience in a financial institution marketing role.
  • Experience building marketing plans for credit card products, deposit products, and/or loans.
  • Strong team player and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to balance creative and technical skills.
  • Superior time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work with and extract data for reporting purposes.
  • Strong service orientation aligned with the credit union's mission and core values.
  • Excellent verbal, written, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated public speaking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Internet.
  • Ability to function in a commercial office environment and utilize standard office equipment.
  • Some travel required.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs, e.g., file boxes.
