Job Description

About the Role

The Market Manager position is a fast-paced role responsible for staffing, training, and motivating part-time Adult Beverage Brand Ambassadors to drive consumer engagement and activation results within an assigned market. The role involves building client relationships, managing team performance, and ensuring successful execution of sampling events, with a focus on measurable activation outcomes and overall program goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the Brand Ambassador team including recruitment, training, weekly event execution, and reporting.
  • Ensure Brand Ambassadors are properly equipped with merchandise and materials needed to execute sampling events.
  • Travel regularly within the market for BA development, activation audits, and performance reviews.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and support to Brand Ambassadors, managing their overall performance.
  • Develop employees for career advancement and succession planning.
  • Drive professional relationships with key wholesaler/client field management teams to foster positive relationships.
  • Use reports and presentations to highlight success, improvement areas, and market insights.
  • Collaborate with support and agency operations teams on report development, event execution, financial control, and coverage model adjustments.
  • Conduct weekly conference calls with District Managers to communicate program updates and strategic priorities.
  • Manage the budget for the assigned geographic area to maximize revenue and profit, and enforce a safe work environment.
  • Hire, retain, train, coach, and develop direct reports using company-wide processes and tools.
  • Delegate work and provide guidance to indirect reports as needed.
  • Travel up to 50% as part of job duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience in the alcohol or beverage industry preferred.
  • Experience working in an agency, retail, CPG, or CE environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Proven success in executing and evaluating sampling programs.
  • Experience with recruiting, interviewing, and training Brand Ambassadors.
  • Experience creating weekly schedules and managing team events, recaps, and payroll systems.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to perform essential functions in an office environment, including sitting for extended periods and lifting up to 10 lbs.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the alcohol or beverage industry.
