About the Role

The Brand Expansion Associate at Nestlé is responsible for long-term brand growth focusing on new brand/category whitespace, business models, and technology. The role involves building a pipeline of innovation and opportunities to incorporate into Market Business Strategy, including potential licensing, partnerships, and M&A activities. Nestlé's Coffee & Beverage Division aims to craft uplifting products and experiences, fostering an inclusive, innovative, and fast-paced work environment that encourages strategic thinking, creativity, and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the demographics, psychographics, occasions, path to purchase, and behavioral drivers of the brand's consumer through data and research to prioritize growth opportunities.
  • Leverage data and trends to generate insights and transform them into marketing innovation, brand building (communications), and retail programs.
  • Strategically chart a course for the category, portfolio, and brand using data-driven decision-making and business planning cycles.
  • Identify and address knowledge gaps in consumer, brand, product, business, and marketplace to build a learning plan in collaboration with Shopper Marketing and Consumer Market Research.
  • End-to-end cross functional leadership to drive optimized portfolio and value chain.
  • Explore and incorporate new approaches to brand innovation, including new business models, distribution strategies, M&A activity, licensing agreements, and strategic partnerships.
  • Generate concepts, validate with consumers, and assess on key criteria to identify winning platforms for long-term portfolio pipeline.
  • Manage end-to-end brand projects demonstrating understanding of key consumer insights and activation in strategy and innovation activities.
  • Build business plans and lead commercialization for new product opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and manage new product and program handoffs for established business partners to ensure smooth product launch transitions.

Requirements

  • Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) in Marketing or related business field; or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in product or brand management.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional teams to deliver on brand goals.
  • Experience developing strategic plans such as communication campaigns or commercialization strategies.
  • Strong research and strategic analysis skills.
  • Ability to work independently, adapt quickly to change, and deliver results.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.

Nice to Have

  • MBA degree.
  • Knowledge of budget control methods, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

  • Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) in Marketing or related business field; or equivalent experience.
  • MBA preferred.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in product or brand management.
