About the Role

This role is focused on supporting and driving new business development in the Insurance Company-Owned Life Insurance (ICOLI) space within our Austin, TX office, combining financial modeling, investment analysis, and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the executive benefits and ICOLI markets, with a focus on mid-to-large market employers.
  • Lead the development of strategic proposals and sophisticated financial models tailored to prospective clients and joint-venture partners.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and interpretation of complex legal and financial documents, including life insurance contracts, private placement memoranda, and partnership agreements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, actuarial, investment, and compliance teams to design and implement customized executive benefit solutions.
  • Maintain and enhance internal databases of financial and market intelligence to support data-driven business development strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance metrics, and maintain forecasting tools to support strategic decision-making.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and tax implications relevant to ICOLI and executive compensation planning.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of high-impact client presentations and internal strategy briefings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Exposure and working familiarity with banking, insurance, private equity, or executive benefits.
  • Strong understanding of ICOLI, non-qualified deferred compensation plans, and executive compensation strategies.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis; experience with tools like Excel, PitchBook, Preqin, or S&P Global Market Intelligence is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Well organized with the ability to handle several projects/clients simultaneously.
  • Detail oriented with demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards (FINRA, SEC) and experience preparing compliant marketing materials.
  • Experience with tools like PitchBook, Preqin, or S&P Global Market Intelligence.
