About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, grow and enhance the sales volume and market positioning of the DICK's Sporting Goods Vertical Brands.
• Execute the long-term product and brand strategies as well as seasonal product strategies.
• Contribute to research and sizing/scaling of category expansion and white space opportunities.
• Develop skills in trend, athlete, and market insights, including seasonal research and athlete feedback analysis.
• Participate in seasonal athlete intelligence trips and local trips to learn from athletes about their activities and equipment use.
• Conduct omnichannel competitive shopping to develop expertise of the competitive set and identify opportunities or threats.
• Attend trade shows and relevant events to identify product opportunities.
• Develop and execute a compelling product assortment each season, balancing business needs and market opportunities.
• Analyze seasonal sales data to identify future development opportunities and influence product strategies.
• Build credibility and influence cross-functional teams by providing data-backed assortment and product strategy insights.
• Serve as a key connection point between categories and the vertical brands team, communicating assortment needs and trend adoption.
• Assist in sourcing, merchandising, and ecomm collaboration to meet margin and assortment targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 3-5 years of related experience in vertical merchandising or product development.
• Ability to develop market intelligence through trend analysis, athlete insights, and competitive shopping.
• Strong analytical thinking skills to translate business analysis into strategy.
• Experience in assortment architecture, line planning, and category analysis.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and build credibility with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 3-5 years of related experience in vertical merchandising or product development.
