Key Responsibilities

Help develop and execute a vision to elevate Viasat's impact and influence with customers.
Leverage established relationships within the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, end-users, and acquisition communities to collaborate with existing customers and expand the customer base.
Contribute to defining product roadmaps and evaluate and expand business partnerships in ISR Fixed Wing, UAS, Rotary Wing, and Maritime communications.
Understand customer needs and constraints, influence requirement generation and acquisition strategies.
Lead business development and business execution teams by providing positive influence to drive results.
Develop relationships with customers, listen to their mission priorities, and build trust and strategic partnerships.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, program managers, and executive management.

Requirements

BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
10+ years of engagement at senior levels across U.S. Department of Defense leadership communities, particularly in ISR Fixed Wing and UAS.
Proven ability to establish and cultivate strategic relationships and solve complex problems in dynamic environments.
Extensive experience collaborating with current and potential customers on applications for communications, networking, IT, and security solutions.
Established network of contacts within US ARMY, USAF, USN, USMC, USCG, and the international community.
Experience with DoD missions, CONOPS, and the federal purchasing/acquisition process in the US and international defense markets.
Familiarity with International Business Development, including Foreign Military Sales, Direct Commercial Sales, Offset Obligations, ITAR, and US export controls.
US Citizenship and ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance.
Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Active Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

Experience with DoD missions and CONOPS.
Knowledge of federal purchasing and international defense markets.
Strong formulated strategic relationships and partnerships within the industry.

Salary range $185,000.00 - $291,500.00 annually, with specific ranges for certain locations.
